MicroMkt is a SaaS provider for the retail charity sector offering an Android based tilling system and associated services such as logistics, stock, donor sign-up and GiftAid managing for cash and item donations. As CTO Luke oversaw the growth of the platform to a large cloud based solution utilising Google Cloud and AWS to provide a comprehensive charity management suite of products and services.

Luke was an early investor in MicroMkt which was a 2016 startup in the crowded online marketplace space. Luke became involved in helping the company when they experienced problems with its large offshore built PHP site. Subsequently the company has pivoted to the charity sector and Luke designed an app based eco system utilising Google Cloud and Firestore that now handles tracking GiftAid donations and subsequent HMRC claims, charity van logistics and an Android driven in shop till system (EPoS) for over 15 sites in the UK. Luke also built the web administration portal using Typescript, VueJS and Quasar talking to the Google Firestore backend with reports from Google Big Query.

As part of a partnership Luke ran a bid and won a DOS lot to provide several developers with expertise in Domain Driven Design (DDD), Event Sourcing and CQRS. Luke has worked alongside DVLA and external developers on several projects while at the DVLA, providing expert advice on designs, Java and agile development practices. Monad solutions operates 3 fully owned regional subsidiary companies, in the US, UK and Singapore, and Luke operates as the Managing Director (part time role) of the UK holding company. Primary responsibilities include:- Setting and managing budgets for holding company- Administering global board, chairing meetings, appointments of Non-Execs, etc.- Ensuring fiscal management of the group, including internal audits- Enacting and following up on the actions of the board where holding company actions are required.- Overseeing the holding company administration and accountancy staffLuke successfully lead and negotiated a sale of the US trading company subsidiary to an organisation in Texas. The funds from this were used to allow Luke and 2 other shareholders to exit by selling their stake to the last co-owner.
