Training Officer with UK-Med, with experience in humanitarian education and operations. I was previously employed by the British Red Cross as the Community Education Coordinator for South Yorkshire and by the supported housing charity Rush House Ltd as their Engagement and Development Coordinator. I have been deployed on two international projects with Raleigh International, as a Team Leader and Deputy Operations Coordinator in Tanzania and Costa Rica respectively. I studied at the University of Lincoln, where I achieved a second class honours degree in Media Production, majoring in Script and Screenwriting. I have taught conversational English as a foreign language to adults in Poland and Hungary with Angloville, an immersive foreign language program. I taught English at a Kids and Teens Center in China with EF for one year from 2017 to 2018. In November 2018 I achieved my CELTA certification. from 2019 to 2020, I worked for TutorABC as an online consultant and Learning Pad as a specialist English tutor, and with the University of Leeds as an English Teacher in 2020.I am a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader, and have worked as a casual youth worker with the charity Endeavour since 2022, helping coordinate and lead on hikes and outdoor activities. I have received training and certification around Emergency First Aid at Work and Outdoor First Aid. I am a PADI certified scuba diver.
