Responsible for planning and optimising small-scale processes and scaling for clinical manufacture and commercial launch 1) Oligonucleotide during commercialisation, in-licenced from an external partner: authoring sections of the commercial submission within extremely tight timelines and proactively identifying and planning scale up requirements 2) Oligonucleotide in development: leading technology transfer onto a new manufacturing fill-line at contract manufacturing organisation and leading the completion of the quality risk assessment 3) Polymeric nanoparticle, manufactured by a very complex sterile method: responsible for process scale up, technology transfer of a lyophilisation process, optimisation of emulsification and tangential flow filtration unit operations and response to regulatory questions• Led the multidisciplinary drug product delivery team on 2 different projects• Regular coaching of early career graduate engineers, helping them to shape their goals and personal development plans• Supervised multiple placement students and graduates, including training on equipment and processes, planning and execution of work, providing feedback and support through regular meetings• Leading a future facing technology excellence group assessing unit operations and process equipment for potential use in future projects• Trained as SHE and CoSHH risk assessor, completing assessments for the department• Subject matter expert for container closure integrity testing technology strategy, leading purchase, installation and preparation for the GMP qualification of new equipment Show less -
