Following the progression from my People and Culture Manager role to the People and Culture General Manager position I currently perform in, I have been able to replace my managerial role and step into a strategic position that focuses on driving business growth and development from a human resource perspective at an Executive level. Building on the foundation I established in my previous role, I continue to refine and implement new projects, ensuring they align with the business growth plan. I continue to oversee the People and Culture and Administration leadership roles.

In my previous role as a People and Culture Manager, I successfully established new processes and procedures in a newly created position, ensuring a solid foundation for HR operations. I drafted comprehensive policies and procedures, aligning them with current employment legislation to ensure compliance and best practices. I managed the HRIS, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of employee data and HR processes. Additionally, I managed an internal P&C and Administration team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure smooth operations and alignment with organisational goals. My responsibilities also included managing employee relations, where I fostered a positive and productive work environment. I led both formal and informal grievance processes, providing guidance and support to resolve issues fairly and promptly. Furthermore, I spearheaded projects aimed at enhancing employee engagement and driving the organisation towards its strategic objectives. During this time, I also undertook a mentorship program with AHRI and other industry professionals, acquiring valuable skills that I continue to utilise today. I also joined the Workplace Health & Safety team from a people perspective, with a particular focus on mental health and wellbeing.

When performing in the role of Executive Assistant to the CEO & Managing Director, I was responsible for managing the complex and dynamic calendars of these key leadership positions, ensuring that their time was optimised for maximum impact. I prioritised actionable items, ensuring that critical tasks were addressed promptly while aligning with the broader strategic goals of the organisation. My role also encompassed the management of both domestic and international travel, coordinating logistics with travel professionals to facilitate seamless and efficient travel experiences. Additionally, I played a crucial role in recording Executive-level minutes, capturing key discussions, and tracking actions arising to ensure that all follow-up tasks were executed with precision. This role required a high degree of organisation, discretion, and the ability to anticipate the needs of the Executive team.

In my role as Brand Communications Coordinator, I was responsible for all facets of brand communications, ensuring consistent and effective messaging across multiple platforms. I coordinated the timeline for the in-house magazine publication, ensuring that all content was delivered on schedule and met the brand's standards. I also took charge of writing and issuing Electronic Direct Mail marketing campaigns, tailoring content to engage our audience effectively. My role included planning and managing social media strategies, where I developed and executed content plans to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Additionally, I managed digital marketing requirements, which involved writing website copy and making back-of-house edits to ensure that our online presence was always current and aligned with our brand identity.
