About Luke Armstrong

I'm a multi-disciplinary designer with experience in product research (customer discovery), solution design (user experience), product development (user interface), customer service (user / customer experience) and marketing systems (white label / franchise / SaaS scale). My holistic approach to designing produces valuable customer (and user) experience that drive business growth.I love working collaboratively to bridge communication gaps, explore possibilities and create valuable solutions. Gallup StrengthsFinder Results:1. Ideation2. Strategic3. Command4. Self-Assurance5. ActivatorMy approach begins with understanding the organizational purpose and desired impact. Then we dive into our customer / user needs, focusing on their jobs to be done. From there, we design and test solutions that simplify workflows and resolve complex, recurring, or painful problems. With our learnings, we will enable simple, fun, and functional user experiences. Together, we can prioritize our focus, discover our opportunities, and create solutions that deliver valued experiences.Send me a direct message if you have questions and/or want to learn more about my work.

  • Renmind
    Founder & Experience Designer
    Renmind Aug 2010 - Present
    Omaha, Ne, Us
Since 2010, RenMind has evolved from providing digital marketing services to becoming a pioneer in product discovery and slow design. Initially, we partnered with National Property Inspections, delivering websites, reviews, email marketing, and lead capture solutions. Our focus soon expanded, leading us to develop innovative marketing software to enhance local marketing efforts for franchises and small businesses.By 2014, our R&D efforts culminated in the creation of the “RenMind Network,” a SaaS platform for managing community-driven websites and independent email marketing. Think of it as a decentralized social media network, where data ownership resides with local businesses and management with local agencies. In 2016, we were scaling both services and software, but a series of challenges in 2018 necessitated a pause in our service operations. During this time, I gained valuable experience as a Product Designer at Don’t Panic Labs. In 2019, with a new partner, we tested new markets and refined our core platform, navigating through the pandemic with resilience.By late 2021, we found clarity in our direction. RenMind now focuses on guiding entrepreneurs, innovators, and established companies towards continuous product-market alignment through our unique approach to slow design. Our mission is to foster product harmony, ensuring sustained success and innovation.Currently, I am deeply engaged in “Between Me and ChatGPT,” exploring design theory and aiding clients in crafting strategic design solutions that resonate with their audiences.
