I am a sucker for complex problems, tight deadlines, and limited resources. My education and work experience has molded me into a bit of a "jack of all trades" and it pays off over and over as I lead my team through the nuances of technical challenges amidst a dynamic business environment. A firm believer in leading by example, I am not afraid to dig into the details with my team, but at the same time I know when to get out of the weeds and focus on the bigger picture. What does all that mumbo jumbo actually mean? Let me summarize some examples:1) A-Z System Implementation: When the business was confronted with a fast-approaching deadline for a full revamp of a major business system, I volunteered to step up to the plate and lead the effort. Starting from scratch, I researched market solutions, analyzed ROI and gained financial approval, managed the implementation team, drafted and executed system validation documentation, developed data migration process, and provided oversight for the ultimate business go-live for the brand-new system. 2) Data Analytics: I was pulled into a project team to help address a high failure rate on the production floor. It was immediately clear that finding the proper solution would first require the right data, so I set out to revamp the data collection and analysis infrastructure. After many hours of developing an analysis tool, discussing design intent, and re-training operators, I was ultimately able to get the yield to improve from 75% to 95%, drastically improving the profitability of the production line. 3) Critical Design Investigation: Another production line was dealing with a very mysterious problem somewhere within its thermo-mechanical-electrical system, but the complex issue needed a methodical root cause analysis. Presented with a viable hypothesis, I developed and executed a test plan that would ultimately prove the hypothesis, leading to a major firmware update that drastically improved the production yield and durability of the machine.TLDR; Give me those difficult, hard to define problems that no one else wants, and I'll get it done.
