As a retail worker, my primary responsibilities include providing excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and organised department. I worked through the entirety of the COVID-19 pandemic as a key worker, trying to ensure the shop ran according to the government guidelines and customers were able to access products and any additional help. My role requires me to be highly detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively, as I am responsible for handling a variety of tasks simultaneously. In my daily work, I am called upon to interact with customers, assist them in finding products and making purchasing decisions, and address any questions or concerns they may have. I also play an important role in maintaining the appearance of the store, including restocking shelves, organising displays, and keeping the store clean and tidy. My role as a retail worker requires me to be adaptable, reliable, and customer-focused, as I am an essential member of the team responsible for providing a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Completed a 70 hour work placement with Leeds City Councils Rothwell housing department. Great experience working with housing officers and housing assistants showing me the day to day workings of their operations. This role was very eye opening and I am thankful for the opportunity. This position also led to me completing a counting role for the elections that were taking place in Leeds at the time
