An aim is to harness digital technologies to improve services, use resources more efficiently and respect our environment. Much of what we do entails trialling and testing new approaches to services which can then be scaled up and scaled out throughout our city region. Within Smart Dublin I work to develop a dynamic yet methodical project management approach, which is respectful toward data privacy and ethics. Another core focus of my work is on developing and promoting Smart Dublin's open data portal and regional data strategy. Dublinked: our open data portal, seeks to nurture a positive data ecosystem, support knowledge sharing, education and engagement, and increase data availability for innovation, research and new services. The portal will also provide increased opportunity to engage with open data though visualisation and mapping tools. Show less

Ensuring the smooth running of a small but busy restaurant in Dublin's city centre. This restaurant is small so there may be just one person working outside the kitchen at any time. Thus the role entails all front of house duties: from seating and greeting to managing reservations, from serving food and drink to interlocution with the kitchen, and from handling cash to securing the premises at the end of the day.
