I was working at the Department of engineering at Nottingham Trent University for six weeks to develop robotic systems for framing applications using a range of Machine Learning and engineering techniques.

I designed Railway components using CAD and on-site track visits to train workers to maintain the railway using Interflon products. The work involved a complete lubrication survey of the line to assess the work required, then the planning and undertaking of the tasks to ensure the smooth running of the equipment.

Organising stock when it arrived into the warehouse and sorting out orders to get them ready to be shipped out. The other half of the job was assembling caterpillar tracks for mining equipment, this involved installing the rollers, gearboxes, tracks and painting them. This has given me experience using my hands and problem solving on the spot. Being a warehouse operative gave me the skills to keep a stock check in the warehouse and to make sure it was always up to date. The company also put me through my forklift driver training.
