I completed my Master's thesis project in which I utilized the natural protein production ability of E. coli cells to produce PETase, a plastic degrading enzyme, in high quantities. This work was funded by Dr. Jason Boock and the Department of Chemical, Paper, and Bioengineering (CPB) at Miami University.In addition to my research work, I trained a fellow graduate student and an undergraduate student in various lab techniques and onboarded them to their own independent projects.I also maintained part-time teaching assistant responsibilities through the CPB Department.
