Our aim was to create a multi-million pound technology company that specialised in collaborative purchases & capitalised on the opportunities that exist in the aggregation of money.Fundible’s technology enabled a merchant’s customer to collect money online from friends, family & peers to make a purchase happen. For consumers this made unaffordable purchases possible & shared purchases easy; increasing a merchant’s sales, customer acquisition and data insight.Applications of the solution included celebratory funds (honeymoon fund), splitting the cost of a purchase (4 tickets for music concert) &/or managing group activities & holidays (school trip).Fundible received a 6 figure investment offer & was shortlisted for both the Sir Michael Moritz Tech Startup of the Year 2015 (ESTnet) & the Innovation Showcase at the Merchant & Payments Conference in London (Oct 2014).My ExperienceI was Head of Product & involved in many aspects of the company.- Designed user work flows & aligned theses with other company’s technology solutions to leverage potential partnerships.- Reviewed legislation & existing technology to ensure fundible product complied with FCA, MLR & Consumer Law, whilst being able to be adopted by small & enterprise level merchants.- Researched innovations in payment solutions, ecommerce, travel and leisure. This led to revising our business strategy.- Created a roadmap incorporating customer delivery and product development.- Managed internal and external teams on an agile approach within an existing Java development framework. Used GitHub, Slack & gdocs. Gained an appreciation for MongoDB, Facebook API & PayPal API (pledge, parallel/chain payments).- Released a demo, MVP and the first customer solution.- Pitched to customers and investors.- Helped create a brand and sales strategy for our two products – ‘fund’ and ‘shared purchase’.- Review & negotiated various legal agreements (Shareholders', Articles, Service, IP and License)

timto was an innovative for-profit tech startup that operated in the private and third sector; received funding from various sources; worked with £100m+ charitable organisations and £B+ revenue retailers.We developed an innovative group gifting platform that aggregated gift expenditure to enable friends and family to give better gifts whilst also donating to charity.The ASP.NET platform was integrated with major retailers and charitable organisations, allowing users to choose from millions of products and support any UK charity.We had a B2C presence (timto.co.uk) and also a B2B white label / co-brand application so that a charity could have their own group gifting solution. The service was free for charities and timto passed on every penny donated including Gift Aid.My Experience:- Responsible for product development and project management of the B2C & B2B technology platform, infrastructure, analytics and communication strategy.- Secured agreements with multinational retailers & >20 international & UK charities.- Investment pitches. The co-founders successfully secured funding on several occasions, received other investment offers & won numerous high profile UK wide awards.- Managed employees across a range of activities (design, marketing, web dev) and their internal op's needs (doc sharing, email, phones, IT etc).- Conducted extensive market research across multiple sectors to produce forecasts and strategic decisions. This including applying theoretical principles of Blue Ocean theory to the timto business model.- Considerable time spent with solicitors working on Commercial, Charity, Employment, Corporate, Consumer & Data Protection Law.- Completed trademark applications for two marks in UK, CTM, Australia & USA.- Financial, Taxation, Legal and Company Operations: gained HMRC approval for Gift Aid across fundraising & gifting websites; VAT returns, local government grant apps, office/rent.
