My doctorate looked at uncertainty in climate change and energy systems modelling. My research sits at the intersection of climate, energy, decision theory, philosophy and sociology of science.I was at the Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy (STEaPP) as well as the Energy Institute.I was funded by a competitive grant the Economic and Social Research Council.I have also taught Masters Students on a number of modules, including:- Analytic Methods for Policy (scenario analysis, Monte Carlo analysis, Statistical analysis (in R) etc.)- Evidence for Decision-making (How to evaluate different kinds of evidence and make it useful)- "How to Change the World" (Problem structuring, Stakeholder Analysis, Design Briefs etc.)In addition to my research I have taken modules and courses such as:- Knowledge and Governance- Evidence for decision-making- Energy, Technology and Innovation- Sociology and behavioural sciences in energy- French (CLIE Levels 4, 4+, 5, 5+)- Entrepreneurship (SPERO 1, SPERO 2)

Secondment/consultancy at the Joint Biosecurity Centre (UK Heath Security Agency) to assist in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.I worked on a number of urgent scientific policy issues relating to the pandemic response:* Building an epidemiological model ensemble to track the pandemic* Evaluating effectiveness of key policy interventions

* Advising the science ministry of an overseas government.* Direction setting for a major science and innovation policy portfolio.* The project is entering its second phase this summer with a focus on evaluation.

Stemming from the potential impact of the ideas developed in my thesis worked at the Grantham Institute on a three month project funded by an Economic and Social Research Council Impact Accelerator Account.The project involved writing several academic papers and policy briefings as well as convening a roundtable discussion of key academics and policymakers.
