Uncle Ben/Aunt May tells this to Peter Parker to instill in him the wisdom that his powers come with consequences and that it is up to him to make the right choices. This quote applies to all of us in the business world. Each of us has the power to inspire positive change wherever we work, and we must always use that power responsibly in order to succeed and to do what is right. Hi, my name is Luke Rizzo. I devote myself to being a leader who displays the qualities of responsibility, accountability, compassion, and respectfulness. Being a leader is being someone who others can go to talk to and ask for advice. Out of every quality a leader needs, compassion is the biggest one. Having the ability to be easy to talk to and always available for others to bounce ideas off, are important traits that are demonstrated in profound leaders. I am currently a fourth-year (senior) supply chain student at the Pennsylvania State University. At the University Park campus in the Smeal College of Business, I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and information systems. This past two summer I had the privilege of returning to Eastern Wholesale Fence, where I previously worked in the warehouse. Only this time I was given the opportunity to intern and learn many valuable skills along the way. Over the past two summers, I have analyzed purchasing sheets to determine if more product is needed and calculated average cost of product made in house. Also, I developed workflow charts and work instructions for various operations that happen in the day-to-day of the company and learned the process of cycle counting. Lastly, I was given the opportunity of going on two business trips, one to North Carolina and the other to Maryland. In my most recent trip I helped with an inventory management issue at another branch.
