The underwriters and processers are all local which allowed for faster results and an uncommonly strong communication network. HomeStreet is a direct seller and has the longest standing relationship with FannieMae dating back to 1937. The two most important things were customer service and community service as we strived to impact everyone that we came in contact with. -

During my interview process I was honest about my lack of I.T. knowledge, but was confident I could still add value to the department. The most valuable lesson I got to practice each day was customer service. I.T. can be a very difficult subject for people to identify with, and as I became more practiced in technology I was able to combine personal skills with technical know how to help customers. After three months I was offered a promotion, and thrived in a department I had no previous industry knowledge or experience with. -
