I recently graduate the Bachelor of Security Studies at Macquarie University in 2022. This degree allowed me to understand the current and evolving security challenges in which Australia and other governments face today. The degree focused on matters such as intelligence, counterterrorism, Australian policy decision making, cybercrime, policing and crisis management. This degree has furthermore assisted various skills including researching, critical analysis, computer skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Within the Bachelor of Security Studies, I also completed a Professional and Community Engagement (PACE) Unit in which tasked students to partner with various organisations with the end goal of completing a project. I partnered with Trustwave completing a project with several other students surrounding the Ethics of Ransomware. Specifically, I was assigned the ethical considerations of victims of ransomware such as whether a victim should or should not pay a ransom. Conclusively, through completing the project this developed the skills of teamwork, research and meeting deadlines.Currently I am furthering my education in the field of security studies by studying a Master of Cyber Security Analysis and Master of Intelligence. I work at Kmart Australia Ltd in the position of a Salesclerk which has assisted in communication skills, teamwork and my hard-working nature.
