I learned of CU Boulders' efforts to implement campus-wide food waste composting through my undergraduate honors thesis research on incentives and barriers to municipal and regional organics recycling. I was invited to join the CU team after graduation, and we were able to finally get the program fully vetted, configured and successfully launched! • Implemented the University's first comprehensive food waste composting program (responsible, to-date, for upcycling millions of pounds of food waste) • Designed program audits, cost models, risk plans and management agreements, facilitating rapid program adoption• Performed student and community outreach, building awareness of key financial & environmental benefits • Finalized an innovative partnership with 3rd party service providers, dramatically improving program ROI• Led bilingual training programs for 90 university staff, increasing diversion rates by 120%
