Responsibilities include:· Designing prototype and production fixtures used in the manufacturing process to improve ergonomics and repeatability.· Supporting ongoing production builds by aiding with product build and engaging cross functional team members.· Troubleshooting and optimizing existing equipment for continuous process improvement and lean manufacturing principles.· Creating and Modifying manufacturing work instructions, process specifications, manufacturing process flow, control plans etc. for new and existing production processes.· Performing testing and data collection needed to inform both design and manufacturing teams.· Supporting gauge R&R studies for fixtures and manufacturing process conformance.

I play a fundamental role in designing, manufacturing, and assembling remote-operated vehicles (ROVs) that can function underwater from depths of 300-1000 meters. Our ROVs are often used for bathymetry - surveying the depths of the ocean. They inspect nuclear power plants, hydroelectric dams, underwater oil pipelines, and naval ships. They collect data and materials and can be used for search and recovery. I've authored procedures for manufacturing, assembling, and testing ROV components. Assembled, disassembled, tested, and shipped completed ROVs. Created Jigs for increased manufacturing efficiency. Implemented rapid prototyping with FDM 3-d printers.
