Founder | Kernel-Bypass Network Stack DeveloperSnabb.Co Jul 2012 - Sep 2019Solving problems using high-performance open source software. Orders of magnitude higher performance than most people considered possible.Boosted Linux/KVM ecosystem packet-processing performance ~100x to meet the extreme requirements of Deutsche Telekom's TeraStream project. First implemented with Snabb, then upstreamed across the QEMU/Libvirt/OpenStack ecosystem ("vhost-user"), finally adopted by Intel DPDK, Cisco VPP, etc.Developed custom high-performance device drivers for Intel/Mellanox 10G/25G/40G/100G network adapters. The product is based on a completely custom TCP/IP stack that can optimize traffic for millions of subscribers on a single server. It is typically deployed by large national ISPs.Teclo was a Lisp-hacker company ("Telco with CL") and we wrote our MVP with SBCL and then ported to C/C++ for production deployments.
