As the Head of Production I oversee all aspects of our agency work. I pride myself on putting user experience, client satisfaction and technical maintainability at the forefront of everything we do.I am responsible for our continued excellent working relationships with clients, helping to define and realise their requirements. I leverage these relationships to become a "client champion" immersing myself in the subject matter of the project, so I can facilitate creating meaningful and engaging work.Ensuring clients are always up to date with the status of the project, whilst keeping on schedule and within budget is a key aspect of my role. This helps retain existing clients and win repeat business, time and time again.I have experience in running a wide variety of projects including large complex CMS builds, bespoke web applications, interactive tools, mobile apps and everything in between.My usual involvement in a project:- Present at the pitch for new clients- First contact for all new business for existing clients- Putting together the project schedule & milestones- Resourcing a project with UX / Development- Defining the project specification- Defining the project technical specification- Sending project status updates- Keeping the project on schedule and within budget- Managing change requests- Undertaking quality assurance for project featuresOutside of project work, I am responsible for:- Maintaining and evolving project processes- To train & coach the project team to follow all of the agreed production processes- Ensure the project team has everything they need (tools, knowledge) to do their jobs effectively- Estimating work- Facilitating colleagues professional development- Checking in with clients regularly- Improving and sourcing the correct project tools (e.g. Jira)
