I began my accounting career in 1998 when I accepted a position with BDO Seidman in their New York City office located in mid-town Manhattan on Madison Avenue. I spent the bulk of my time with BDO as a consultant to G.E. Capital. I moved back to my hometown of Amarillo, TX in 2001 and took a job with Rex Lemert, CPA as a professional accounting staff member. I passed the CPA exam in 2003 and began my career as an income tax professional. I specialize in Federal and State income taxation for businesses from all industries; Federal and State taxation for estates, trusts and individuals; entity selection and formation; higher level tax planning strategies to minimize the client’s tax burden; and retirement plan selection, including cross-tested 401K plans, SEP plans, defined benefit plans, captive insurance plans, and section 79 plans. I am a licensed life insurance agent and offer life insurance consulting for a broad range of goals; including survivorship, estate planning, and wealth accumulation.
