Solutions ArchitectAustralian Rugby Union Jan 2009 - Oct 2009AuAt the ARU I reported directly to the Head of Online Business and IT, where I was the Solutions Architect with 4 direct reports. My main responsibilities were people, client and third party supplier management, Systems analysis and design and Project Management. I dealt with Rugby as a whole from the governing body down to club level as well as with a number of 3rd party suppliers in Australia and New Zealand. The applications are co-developed using a CRM system created by StayIn Front (NZ). Along with web based applications both custom built and supplied by a number of 3rd parties. These applications use Classic ASP and Microsoft .Net technologies and utilize SQL Server databases, with reporting generated via SQL Reporting Services. In house development is developed using VS2008 with TFS and a Scrum development methodology. The main project that I was directly responsible for was the upgrade and integration of 2 of the Super 14 teams into a centralized CRM membership system. -

The application is delivered through a dynamic browser interface which accesses an Oracle 8i database through ASP pages written in VB Script interfacing into components written in VB6 using COM DCOM and ADO. My position on the project started at the design phase and continued until the second production release of the software. The application included an Entity relationship management section, Matter management section, Document production section, Project management section, Administration and a Reporting facility. -
