Highly respected financial markets editor and journalist with more than 20 years of experience writing and editing digital and print media content across the finance industry, with an extensive track record in developing innovative circulation and subscription growth initiatives that engage with authenticity and integrity to prioritise insightful content.Starting my editorial career directly from university, I was able to quickly engage my passion for writing quality articles and news stories at Global Business Information. During this time, I was promoted to Deputy Editor of STP Magazine, a monthly publication that spotlighted financial technology, and then to Editor of Wealth Services Technology, aimed at the senior banker and trader market.As a recognised journalist, writer and editor, I was approached in 2006 by Dow Jones to take a senior role as Editor for Trading & Technology, responsible for the entire process from researching, writing, editing, and designing layouts to managing reporters and freelancers.I was subsequently engaged by Thomson Reuters to drive exclusive content and deliver breaking news and analysis on financial businesses. The role dramatically increased my exposure to international C suite financial markets executives, senior traders and regulatory leaders, and I designed and chaired European conferences and roundtable discussions.Following a brief spell as a freelance writer, primarily focused on the production of corporate communications initiatives, I took a senior position as Editor of Futures & Options World leading a team of journalists who delivered exclusive news stories and in-depth analysis pieces.Promoted in 2017 to Managing Editor of Global Investor Group, I was accountable for all daily online news and analysis with staff responsibility for six journalists, freelancers and designers, focused on delivering quality online and offline editorial coverage.I launched a series of successful initiatives to expand subscription volumes, to become, at the time, the fastest growing brand, year on year for subscriptions in Euromoney. My remit included news coverage of the trading technology market that resulted in a more significant market share and additional sponsorship revenue.
