I was once called an “Audit Ninja” by my former manager because I try to find a pattern in everything I see. I am an undergraduate student working towards my degree in accounting at UTD. I am an inquisitive learner of new things. As a person who likes to observe patterns and trends and a person who likes investigative stories, I found that Forensic Accounting can be a perfect combo of my Passion and Profession. I believe that asking questions and being curious is how to develop a student both personally and professionally. Ever since I took my first accounting course at my High school, I learned that accounting was not just about balancing Debits and Credits. As I learned more about it, it was intriguing to me. It tells you a story, a story of business not in words but summarized in numbers by debits and credits. And what an accountant does is make sure that the stories of every business they are dealing with are reasonable and not just a made-up one. Thus, I realized that learning accounting was the best way to understand a company's story and thus get the facts and figures about it. That passion for learning and understanding business motivated me to get enrolled in an accounting degree. And I try to feed that passion by reading more about it during my free time. Other than that, I am a soccer fan. I am quite obsessed with Liverpool FC. I like to go mountain biking for a nice sunset, watch documentaries and YouTube videos, basically anything that feeds my curious mind.
