As a trainee, I helped promote a new soybean herbicide to retailers, consultants and growers across the MidSouth. Working with these stakeholders, I developed a marketing case to help drive demand with users of this product.

I was the main contact at Auburn University for the Auburn University Agricultural Alumni Association. I helped plan and coordinate the association's annual events - Ag Roundup, Birds and Brews and Hall of Honor. Ag Roundup, in 2016, raised over $29,000 - all of which goes to scholarships for College of Agriculture students. Birds and Brews, in which I managed on-campus responsibilities, raised $18,500 for poultry science students. Hall of Honor is an annual event that recognizes significant contributors to Alabama agriculture. The board of directors meet four times annually and I planned and coordinated the boards annual and spring meeting. I, also, worked in a team of five to start a new development and recruitment project for the College of Agriculture - Toomer's for Tigers. Our donors provide Toomer's lemonade to a perspective student after an Ag Hill Tour.

In this position, I worked with Monsanto BioAg. Monsanto partners with Novozymes to create and market inoculants and biologicals. I visited customers in Ohio, worked with BioAdvantage (BAT) Trials, and learned more about the agronomic industry. I am trained in the Building Every Solution Together (BEST) Sales Model, and the Monsanto BioAg portfolio. I have learned the basics of seed treatment and sold QuickRoots on wheat to customers.

In this position I worked as a student worker for entomology research. The research consists of trap crops, organic vegetables and fruits and Integrated Pest Management. Publication editing, making and publishing videos, interviewing farmers, maintaining a habitat for leaf-footed bugs and meeting and conference planning are my duties. My hard work and determination led to a nomination for the Auburn University 2015 and 2016 Student of the Year Award.
