Accurately completed vital sign, weight, I&O, and blood glucose measures. Documented results in appropriate location and alerts nurse immediately to any abnormal values. Completed special procedures as directed, including but not limited to: application of splints/orthotic devices, venipuncture/IV therapy, specimen collection, post-mortem care, pre-op prep, prep for special procedures or diagnostics, assisting nurse in delivery of care. Assisted patients to use bedpan, bedside commode, or to get up to the bathroom. Utilizes proper body mechanics with transfer. Appropriately addressed mobility needs for each patient. Assisted patients in getting in and out of beds, wheelchairs, etc. Utilized proper body mechanics with any patient transfer.Kept all patient care supplies stocked in cabinets, as well as linens. Maintained the patient room in a neat and orderly fashion. Turned over rooms between patients.Cleaned and returned unused equipment to proper location.
