After co-founding Avizia in 2013, Luke helped build the company from start-up to established leader in enterprise telemedicine, achieving annual sales growth rates of 80%+, building and leading a team of 150+ team members across multiple offices, and serving over 500 customers in 40 countries, before its successful merger with industry leader, American Well, in 2018.As Avizia's Chief Operating Officer, Luke led day-to-day operations, was responsible for all customer-related functions, including Sales, Sales Operations, Account Management, Clinical Services, Customer Success, Professional Services, and core Operations teams, including Supply Chain, Quality, and Fulfillment. Luke also led Avizia's Strategy and Business Development efforts and resources and served as a member of Avizia's Board of Directors. From 2013-2016, Luke also served as Avizia's CFO, launching and leading the company's financial, HR, and administrative functions in addition to his responsibilities as COO. He successfully raised multiple rounds of equity and debt capital for the business and executed Avizia's acquisitions of Emerge.MD in 2014 and Carena in 2017. Luke was a two-time finalist for the Northern Virginia Technology Council's (NVTC) Emerging Growth CFO of the Year award. In addition, Avizia won NVTC's "Hottest Bootstrap" award, was named to DC Inno's "50 on Fire for Healthcare & Medicine," Trending 40's "Washington's Fastest Growing Companies" list, and was a Finalist for NVTC's Tech Company of the Year award. Avizia was featured in articles in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, FastCompany, Medical Design Technology, mHealthNews, and more.
