I am a Storeperson with SFI Australia to support shutdowns and construction projects in the mining, oil and gas sectors, and I have +16 years’ experience working in the energy and resources sector, including mining, oil and gas. I am highly skilled in handling the physical aspects of stock/materials movements and maintenance, as well as managing the tracking, optimisation and accuracy of stock data, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels. More specially though, my key areas of expertise are:☛ Using Microsoft Dynamic NAV Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Insite for logging and tracking stock/materials levels, ensuring inventory is accurate and up-to-date, and for coordinating stock/materials deliveries and movements☛ Ensuring proper stock/materials rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out methods), conducting cyclic stock counts and audits to ensure accuracy of logged stock and materials inventories in the warehouse, and investigating any discrepancies ☛ Receiving incoming stock/materials, checking against PO’s, labelling and tagging goods for identification (i.e. barcoding and RFID tagging), and storing the goods/materials in the right warehouse locations for ease of retrieval for dispatch☛ Picking and packing for customer (i.e. straight to client site) and internal orders, ensuring correct quantities, preparing them for dispatch, coordinating drivers to ensure on-time deliveries, and coordinating returns or adjustments☛ Analysing inventory data to identify trends or issues (e.g. slow-moving stock), developing ways to optimize stock/materials storage and handling processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs, and producing reports ☛ Loading and unloading using forklifts, pallet jacks and trolleys, replenishing shelves, and working safely from EWP’s ☛ Working collaboratively with procurement teams to report any stock/materials shortages, damages or oversupply☛ Using SFI Australia’s Monitor Software for issuing and returning tooling and consumables, and for reporting.
