I am a Colorado Long Term Care specialist and Brokerage Manager working with one of the most well respected Long Term Care producers in the state, Tammey Sullivan. She is the president of HealthCare Benefit Services located in Littleton, Colorado. We help families address their plan for Long Term Care, and are an agency focused on education of clients as opposed to a "sales only" attitude. Our motto, “We are problem-solvers, not policy peddlers”, is apparent when we sit and talk to families. We also help financial planners and brokers educate their clients on the importance of Long Term Care, while eliminating their liability as professionals from future lawsuits because of poor education for their clients. Because many professionals do not have the time and/or desire to learn the LTC industry, we will answer all questions for you and your clients as well as act as your Mater General Agency (MGA). We also provide education for Long Term Care licensing and Continuing Education (CE) credits.As for our personal clients, we are professional agents focusing on putting your family in the best position possible. We believe this can only be done by education and allowing you to decide what is best for your family.HealthCare Benefit Services is also on the front line of Long Term Care legislation. We are actively involved in any government bills that are making its way through the CO State Senate and House of Representatives. Sales position with Bankers Life. Received extensive sales training from all over country. Received multiple sales awards including "Successful New Agent Elite" and "Agent Career Path Award" Also placed top 50 nationwide for submitted applications for August 2009, and top 100 in region in paid for commissions for November 2009. Also received extensive customer service training, obtained certificates in "Orphan Training", and "Winners Edge"Bankers Life was an excellent stepping stone on my career path as an insurance professional, the training received there will remain with me for the rest of my career. However I felt the sales nature of the office as well as being a captive agent would restrict my capabilities for the future.

American Family Insurance was where I was first introduced to the insurance industry. As an 18 year old starting from the ground up, my main job was to answer phone and take care of clients needs, anything from billing questions to certificate's of liability for our commercial customers. I quickly learned the sales aspect of the industry, and became very proficient at "cross-selling" our customers when they called in. My reason for leaving was that I realized that property and casualty was to "transactional" for me, and there was no art to the sale, I felt I was an "order-taker." I also felt that American Family would limit my potential as I would be a captive agent. However, American Family was an amazing springboard to my career, and I developed relationships that will last a lifetime.

Manged day-to-day operation of the store. Was a great opportunity to learn from a successful business owner the "ins & outs" of his business. Reviewed and analyzed daily, weekly and annual financial reports. Shawn Carey (owner) gave me my first opportunity to use my creative side of business skills, gave me the first sense of true responsibility, and gave me the opportunity to practice my sales skills by obtaining "hole-slot" customers. At Aamzing Fantasy I learned the importance of relationship building as it relates to business. Although later I have learned that I do not have a passion for retail, Aamazing Fantasy was the very first place I was exposed to entrepreneurship, and gave me the inspiration to pursue my future business ideas. Lessoned learned and relationships built at Aamazing Fantasy will stay true throughout my career and personal life.
