•Engineer on the team based out of the Carnegie Mellon Planetary Robotics Lab building a lunar rover for a lunar pit exploration mission.Led a team of 7 to design and build a space-grade electronics system for the lunar rover. Information on the rover can be found on the project's website, http://lunar.cs.cmu.edu.Designed a sensing system for the lunar rover that is capable of reading up to 48 channels of temperature and up to 16 channels of electrical current. I implemented the system on a PCB in a form factor suitable for conductive cooling in the rover's electronics bay.Selected, sourced, and tested battery cells for protoflight rover battery pack.Conducted a testing program that designed and carried out tests to qualify the protoflight rover’s flight- worthiness in the areas of mobility, vacuum performance, and shock- and vibration-survival. Results of this testing program were submitted to win $500k in prize money from the XPRIZE Foundation.
