During this role I was responsible for maintaining the warehouse floor, ensuring drivers departed with all their parcels on time and repairing/ finding any damaged parcels. I was also required to solve problems that would arise on the shift such as finding missing parcels, sorting any returns or covering for any agency staff that had not attended. I was also required to interact with customers coming to collect or drop off deliveries maintaining a professional and helpful attitude.

In this role I had a variety of responsibilities, my primary role was to research organisations with the aims of creating a relationship in which we could then use to gain employment for one of our clients. My secondary role was to attend these meetings with the businesses I researched and challenge the perspectives of people who had a criminal conviction and convince employers to engage with us. Also, in this role I had to attend events and conferences representing the organisation. In this role, I was required to have excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills having to convey the message of the organisation to various people within the industry. Furthermore, as well as remotely researching companies, I was responsible for editing and storing client CV's and personal details, this required effective Excel and Database management skills.

Within this role I had to undergo accredited training on various activities and techniques to be used when communicating with people in HMPYOI Brinsford. For example, learning about hot and cold anger management techniques and how to talk about trauma sensitively. This would involve me visiting different wings of the prison and talking one on one with prisoners about their issues either in their personal life or within the prison community then working with the relevant body within the prison to resolve these issues.
