This bamboo toothbrush has been carefully developed by my team and I and was presented to the UK market in March 2018. As a marketing and brand development specialist, I planned a strategic launch campaign which exploded sales from day 1. In it’s first 6 months at market it achieved best-seller status on Amazon UK and a 2nd product line of bamboo toothbrushes was added to the brand in Q4 to bolster its position in the UK market.

While my children were young, I chose to have some time away from business and do something seasonal, outdoors, fun, rewarding, worthwhile and challenging!Having surfed all over the world over the past 20 years, I decided to train in lifesaving interventions to aid water users on my local beaches. This specialist training enabled me to work on the beaches, for a world leading lifesaving charity called the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI).My role was centred around the safety of the public and also the team I was leading. As well as this, detailed training scenarios would be prepared, documented and carried out by myself to ensure my team were well versed in all manor of operations, from water rescues to CPR and everything in between. I was trained to an Operational Leadership and Trainer/Assessor level. As a user of the Fatsoma ticket platform, to sell tickets for the events associated with a company I was running (HWG Events), I was approached by them and asked if I could develop and expand their client base across the south, in a short-term contract which involved direct sales and marketing.I received extended sales and presentation training and used the Zoho CRM system to build up a database of leads which I converted and managed through to client status. The job involved digital and in person demonstrations of the software as well as client management. This was a short-term position I took on alongside my company as I could operate from my own company offices in Bournemouth.
