Leverhulme Trust Early Career Research Fellow specializing in Terahertz (THz) Photonics and TelecommunicationsI am an experimental physicist with a passion for unlocking the potential of THz radiation, a field positioned at the intersection of optics, photonics, and nanotechnology. My research focuses on the generation, manipulation, and practical applications of THz waves, especially in the context of future telecommunications like 6G, biomedical imaging, and complex photonic systems.I completed my PhD at the University of Sussex's Emergent Photonics Lab, where my work on nonlinear interactions in THz systems earned me the Roger Blin-Stoyle Award for an outstanding PhD thesis. Following this, I have held multiple research positions where I have been a named inventor on patents for terahertz-emitting technologies.Currently, as a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Research Fellow at Loughborough University, my research project, SIGNAL, aims to enhance THz communication systems through scattering management, opening new pathways in secure communications and data transmission.Additionally, I serve as the Labs Manager for the Emergent Photonics Research Centre at Loughborough University, where I oversee experimental design and ensure smooth operation of the lab’s cutting-edge research projects.I have published extensively in high-impact journals and serve as a reviewer for several key scientific journals, while also contributing to academic conferences.
