Responsibilities include:• Developing evidence-based policy proposals, high quality advice and briefing to Ministers, Senior Managers & the HSE Board; • Leading a skilled team to establish and deliver the statutory Great Britain Mandatory Classification and Labelling system, which underpins several pieces of chemicals legislation.• Develop the UK position at the Globally Harmonised System of Chemicals Regulation (UNGHS) in collaboration with departments and bodies across government, and the delegation lead in the Chemicals Regulation Division. • Engage with colleagues across government at senior-level stakeholder meetings;• Respond to enquiries from outside the organisation and provide Ministerial briefings;• Setting a clear direction and supporting colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge to improve both individual and team performance
