Kentucky's MIT REAP effort is a state-wide partnership with MIT's Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program. This effort is focused on understanding Kentucky's state wide and regional entrepreneurial ecosystem with the end goal of creating an environment where Kentucky's startups can thrive. As team Champion, I serve as a the primary liaison between the Kentucky team (including members from Cabinet for Economic Development, Centre College, Logan Aluminum, Tri-ED, the University of Kentucky, SOAR, and BitSource) and the MIT REAP faculty.

People Engineers is a coaching and consulting firm focused on creating measurable change for organizations and individuals. People Engineers works with entrepreneurs, startup organizations, non-profits, and healthcare companies.

As part of the Community and Economic Development Initiative of Kentucky (CEDIK), I am primarily responsible for the development and implementation of the state-wide Business Retention and Expansion (BRE). BRE focuses on helping local communities create open dialogue within the larger business community through actionable data and relationships.

The Kentucky Highlands Innovation Center is the go-to resource center in Eastern Kentucky for growing a business. As the assistant director for the Center, it is my pleasure to work with entrepreneurs, both in the startup stage and in the growth stage, to identify their needs and help connect them to the best resource. As the only business incubator in southeast Kentucky, we provide a unique opportunity for businesses and entrepreneurs hoping to establish their footprint in the region. From graphic designers and housing non-profits, to food producers and technology professionals, we encourage businesses through one-on-one coaching and networking.Specifically, I provide coaching with all of our clients as well as provide nearly all of the support systems to keep the incubator in operation. Through the development of a regional network of micro-incubators, and through extensive customization of a CRM tool that I administer, I provide the constant connection to our client base. After only three years of operation, and only one year with me on staff, we have seen a near 100% residency rate within the incubator. We have also seen a dramatic increase in our client base over the past year.I take our role very seriously. Our focus is to provide the opportunity for economic growth and job creation throughout one of the most economically impoverished regions of the country. It is a powerful process to see individual's lives changed through the creation of valuable jobs.

The American Association of Equine Practitioners currently boasts over 2,000 student members around the globe. As the student programs coordinator, I manage all programs and activities for these students at the 36 chapters in the United State, Canada and the Caribbean.
