Field Training Company, Weapons and Field Training BattalionOfficer in charge of the recruit training for the "Crucible" and the "Basic Warrior Training" packages. Recruits are trained in basic infantry and Marine tactics during these two events. The Crucible is a test every recruit must complete to become a United States Marine. It tests every recruit morally, mentally, and physically and is the defining experience of the 12-week long recruit training regimen. The Crucible takes place over 54-hours and includes food and sleep deprivation.

3d Platoon, India Company, 3d Battalion, 6th Marines, 2d Marine DivisionResponsible for the training, discipline, control, morale, appearance, and tactical employment of 34 Marines and one Sailor. Accountable for over $3 million dollars' worth of weapons, optics, and gear. Completed a month long deployment for training exercise at Yuma Proving Grounds in Yuma, Arizona, a three month deployment work up, and an eight month deployment as a rifle platoon commander.

IOC 4-13Graduate of the thirteen-week rigorous Infantry Officer Course. During this program lieutenants receive intensive classroom instruction, practical experience, and field training in crew-served weapons, patrolling, and reconnaissance to ensure that they are qualified for the infantry platoon commander billets within a Marine infantry battalion.
