With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, I am a passionate and skilled technical professional who strives to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions for HSB and its clients. I have a strong background in building surveying, building pathology, and appraisal, and I am always eager to learn new technologies and methodologies to enhance my expertise and performance. I am motivated by HSB's mission to provide engineering and technical risk based solutions that advance the safety, sustainability, and reliability of the built environment, and I am proud to be part of a diverse and collaborative team that shares this vision and values.In my current role, I oversee the end-to-end technical surveying auditing and compliance within construction and latent defect products and services. I use a variety of tools and techniques, such as desktop auditing, claim reviews, site visits, and personal interviewing, to assist with the overview of the technical surveying activities and ensure they are in accordance with the technical manual and building regulations. I also provide technical support to the underwriting and business development teams, to allow the business to improve, enhance, and develop construction products that respond to customer demands, manage loss ratios, and improve product performance. I enjoy working with a range of stakeholders, from developers and builders to claims managers and underwriters, and I always aim to deliver excellent customer service and communication.
