As a Digital Technologies Support Teacher, my role sees me help support teachers in the teaching of the Digital Technologies curriculum provided in the Australian Curriculum. This entails working closely with other teachers to ensure their practice is suitable and meeting the correct standards. I also coordinate with my schools IT Manager and share the roles with computer / server maintenance and general ICT / Technology concerns that staff and students may have. I also maintain my schools website, our communication platform, and am currently working towards building a strong online social media profile for our school.

As a Physical Education Teacher in a Primary School (R-7), it is my responsibility to instruct and supervise students in sports and other physical fitness activities. My roll requires me to teach the basic skills, techniques and rules associated with a wide range of team and individual sports, and encourage students to lead a healthy and active life. I also work closely with the schools sports coordinator as we share the responsibilities for organising and coordinating annual athletics and swimming carnivals.

Being a Digital Technology Specialist sees me responsible to instruct and educate students in Digital Technology / ICT activities. I enjoy teaching students computational thinking skills, as well as computing skills that also stretch into media such as claymation, website development, video and publications, etc. I also work alongside the schools ICT coordinator and share the roles with computer / server maintenance and general ICT / Technology concerns that staff and students may have. My most recent achievements include successfully redesigning and rebuilding my schools website, acquiring a new school communication management platform to engage and communicate with our school community, and creating an online social media profile for our school.

As a Performing Arts Specialisation Teacher in a Primary School (R-7), I worked with all year levels engaging students in the wonderful world of the arts (music, drama, dance, etc.). The contract was for the last term of the school year as the regular teacher went on vacation. Throughout this time, I was also in charge for organizing the end of year school concert. I collaborated original songs and dances, and helped teachers prepare classes for their performances. It received fantastic reviews from the school community.

As a School Service Officer, my duties included administration work, as well as working with students independently. I was in charge of the schools communication reports, with weekly newsletters / bulletins being sent out to all those in the school community. I also began the process of redeveloping the schools website which is still ongoing.
