I started in the credit union’s mortgage department as a mortgage sales assistant, or loan officer assistant as some institutions may call it. At the time, I was one of two MSA’s which was a very newly added position. After a couple more MSA’s joined the team, my predecessor in the position left and I quickly became the MSA with the most seniority at just about 6 months into the role.With my previous experience in branch level banking and lending, my manager looked to me to develop the role by having me create clear guidelines of the position duties, devise tracking methods for our volume & current loan pipelines, and even help organize some of our department sales promotions and internal goals.This past November I was promoted to loan officer and am now the youngest loan officer on staff; as well as in the history of the credit union. Located in Auburn Hills, I help residents of the Greater Oakland, Macomb, Wayne and Genesee Counties realize their dreams as homeowners. I also have the pleasure of serving members of the greater Twin Cities as the credit union’s Lakeville, MN mortgage rep. Specializing in first time homebuyers, I hope to inspire people in my age group and educate them in the home buying process in my new role.
