AOC Solutions provides corporate credit card management, purchasing, and accounts payable systems to banks via a web-based ASP.NET 4.5 SaaS product called Encompass. This platform drives the payables process for a wide variety of clients including hospitals, schools, online travel agencies, and many others. As a system engineer on the operations team, I provide rapid-response development support for the production environment and also develop new features for the platform, ranging from a platform-wide internationalization effort of the UI, to financial data import processes on the backend, to a complex messaging and alerting system that will provide comprehensive analysis and fraud-detection capabilities. I've done database design and optimization in a SQL Server 2008 R2 environment with both traditional stored procedures and Linq2SQL and have worked with both MSMQ for our custom batch job scheduling and execution stack and IBM WebSphere MQ for message passing and communication with payment processors.

I worked at AnnuityNet/Finetre/EbixExchange starting when I was in high school as a simple web development intern and eventually rising to Chief Architect in the largest order entry platform for annuities in the insurance industry. Along the way, I built and maintained large portions of the company platform both in VB 6.0/ASP with a lot of XML and XSLT and also in .NET, all the way from 1.1 to 4.0. A healthy dose of Microsoft SQL Server 7.0/2000/2005 database design, optimization, administration was present throughout. I've also worked with the rest of the senior development staff to implement coding standards and improve processes and have helped to manage project groups both locally and overseas.I lead the development effort to completely rewrite their platform using .NET 4.0, ASP.NET MVC 2, and SQL Server 2008. It was a completely modernized platform with a fully-relational object schema. It also took full advantage of IIS 7.5 with comprehensive request and response data logging modules and makes extensive use of Microsoft's AppFabric distributed cache to store business objects and reduce traffic to the database. Finally, the client-side UI was completely reworked through the .NET wrapper of ExtJS, Ext.NET, and jQuery, providing a drag-and-drop screen builder for clients to add questions to their order entry systems without having to write any code.
