The Presidential Ambassadors are a group of student volunteers who give their time and talents to advance the priorities and initiatives of the Office of the President. These students are loyal Bobcats and role models who represent what Ohio University has to offer. A Resident Advisor (RA) is a student staff member who is responsible for a floor or living areawithin a residence hall. As the front-line staff member in the assigned area, the RA is responsible for serving as a mentor and guide to their residents while also cultivating a welcoming and inclusive community. RAs have diverse responsibilities and roles; virtually all are tied to developing communities where residents engage, learn, and thrive. RAs help make OHIO home.

As an intern, I covered weekday games for Diamond League Baseball, Western Reserve Collegiate League, and Ohio Prospects League. Coverage of games includes social media and field manager duties. Social media coverage included posting what game(s) I am covering on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram), post rosters of each team, post scores after each inning, post highlights, and posting the final score. Field manager duties included helping run each game by making sure umps arrive on time, teams arrive on time, payments are processed, trophies are handed out, collecting players' IP, turning stadium lights on/off, and answering any questions. I would have the ability to call games due to harsh weather or excessive over-the-top behavior from any stakeholders (coaches, players, spectators). I was also in charge of making sure games stayed on-time during tournaments to keep the schedule true. During my time with the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF), my main responsibility was player exposure, meaning I was to try and highlight as many players as possible on social media to get their names and skills seen. Highlighting players included taking videos of great plays, incorporating their name and team in each post, and finding creative ways to tie their names with the play they made. My biggest highlight had over 12,000 views the last time I checked. My last responsibility during my time at NABF was covering the championship tournament. It included the same responsibilities as my social media role, with an added ingredient of making score graphics for semi-final games and the championship game.

Practicum experience. I have been working closely with the Hocking College Athletic Department to help run game operations of basketball and soon to be baseball and softball. I have been part of the process to set up scores table equipment for use, operate such equipment for the entirety of a game, communicate with a team of between 4 and 10 people to keep high-quality game facilitation, and deliver insightful information to coaching staffs during and after games.

As a back of house team member, I was tasked with organizing and cleansing every dirty dish as well as keeping track of any dishes that needed cleaning at every station so that every item an utensil could be used at any time. I also prepared food for later use and did anything any of the other staff members needed assistance with.

This job falls under the Ohio University Athletic Department. I am tasked to monitor both men's and women's basketball games to keep track of real-time statistics. I work with a team of 2 others where we delegate tasks to each other and have a high accuracy rate. Tasks include being an inputter or a caller. Inputters are actively listening to callers as they tell you what happens, and input it into the software to track what happens in the game. Callers are actively watching the game and laying out what happens clearly and accurately. I am also tasked with the creation of the postgame overview game packet and making sure both coaches staffs get them.
