I work for the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority as a Woodland Project Officer. I develop woodland creation schemes working with a variety of funders from the initial consultation stage to the final project delivery. The role sees me undertaking a wide array of tasks including: woodland design, organising contractors, working with stakeholders, solving problems, and budget management.My previous role was for Ribble Rivers Trust where I developed my skills as a Woodland Delivery Officer. The main responsibilities of my role were; managing contractors, design of new woodland creation schemes, advising landowners on agri-environment schemes when establishing woodlands, coordinating the delivery of the woodland creation process, working with suppliers to acquire suitable stock, building strong working relationships with stakeholders. My main interests include woodland design and management, ground flora identification, deer management and control, geographic information systems, and the use of new innovative technology in developing the sector. A driven and passionate individual, enthusiastic to develop current and new skills.
