Meet manufacturing, profitability, and sales growth objectives.Develop and implement raw material sourcing strategy.Work with R&D on product and equipment development to improve quality and cost competitiveness

Key job responsibilities include:1. Sales/Marketing in Thailand, Vietnam, Mexico, Poland, and Haier China, with the objectives of increasing market share and improving profitability.2. Business development focus to become a preferred supplier to global whitewoods manufacturers.3. Develop the Sales/Marketing business processes and staff skills.4. Agreements/contracts with customers for HIGA to establish new factories with long term supply arrangements.5. Work with R&D on product and equipment development to improve quality and cost competitiveness

Responsibilities • Oversee raw materials and components procurement function for the refrigeration plants in Australia and Thailand and washing machine and dryer plant in Thailand, which produce over 1 million units annually for the Australian and South-East Asian markets.• Work with Suppliers, Electrolux R&D and Industrial Design to deliver cost effective and innovative product solutions.• Utilize a range of procurement strategies meeting ethical and responsible sourcing standards, to achieve low cost components meeting required quality, performance and delivery standards. • Part of the project management team for the movement of production of refrigerators from Australia to Thailand.Achievements • Exceeded annual raw material and components cost reduction budget and targets in 2015. Responsibilities • Led a team of seven people responsible for the procurement function for the refrigeration plants in Australia and Thailand.• To achieve a direct material cost that allows the finished products to be sold competitively in the market.• Ensure the sourced components and materials will be of the required quality and delivery standard.Achievements • Exceeded annual raw material and components cost reduction budget and targets in 2014. Also payment terms.• Recruited and trained the refrigeration Purchasing team in Thailand, then merged with the Fabric Care Purchasing team for improved procurement efficiency.• Integral member of the Project teams responsible for the successful startup of refrigerator production in Thailand and the transfer of production from Australian to Thailand.

Responsibilities • Responsible for the Procurement function for the refrigeration plant in Australia, with an annual spend of $110 mil.• Ensured components and materials sourced at a competitive cost and of the required quality and delivery standard.• Member of the factory management team with responsibility for planning, safety, environment, quality, productivityAchievements • Resourced 80% of direct materials from Australia to suppliers in Asia to achieve a competitive direct material cost, primarily to new supplier. • Completed major resourcing programs moving existing tooling overseas without disrupting production due to supply and quality problems. Required excellent teamwork with R&D, Quality and Logistics and working closely with the suppliers.

Evaluate best practice to design and implement a web based inbound logistics system for four Australian manufacturing operations. Contract third part logistics provider to manage the inbound warehousing and deliveries into the factories. Contract direct materials suppliers to consignment stock. Achievements Improved data transparency with real time inventory updates for suppliers - forecast stock and usage to assist suppliers with production planning and shipping. Lowered shipping costs.Savings with inventory reduction, lower warehousing and invoice processing costs Eliminated warehouse stocktakes, supply disruptions and stock write-offs due to high stock accuracy.project completed at low IT implementation cost and in short timeframe.
