The company pioneered and deployed a ground breaking virtual desktop service which enables organizations to run the newest operating system and software on 10+ year old computers. Through their proprietary VDI server appliance, the Juicebox, they have made an affordable, virtual desktop solution a cost effective reality for budget constrained organizations. Their technology allows a computer lab or department of 12 year old desktop computers to run Windows 7 Operating System and have web connection speeds equal to the fastest enterprises.

Chief architect and lead developer for the Talk2Us communications platform. Responsible for formulating and executing technical product strategy, managing vendor and partner relationships, and driving funding and recruiting efforts.

Senior engineer and engineering manager for the lead service integrator in the speech recognition / call center industry. Founded and led the Speech Engineering team. Built a $3m / yr services business unit in speech application analysis and tuning from the ground up, including designing and developing the technology, selling the need internally and externally, and building and managing a team of speech scientists, engineers and transcriptionists.Also co-founded the Voice User Interface team. Inventor and architect of the Viecore Framework, the technical foundation for dozens of enterprise-level speech recognition applications, including 6 of 10 of the largest VXML deployments worldwide. Customers include GE Consumer Finance (live deployments in 8 countries), Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, AIG and Prudential Insurance. After Viecore's acquisition by Nuance this became the framework used by Nuance to deliver their IVR solutions.

Designed and implemented new audio content processing procedures and software tools for OnStar Virtual Advisor. Performed speech recognition tuning and performance analysis. Designed new speech recognition analysis / tuning infrastructure for Enterprise platform and OnStar Virtual Advisor.

Developed new training algorithm for deep neural network used for fraud detection (over 80% market share in credit card fraud processing world-wide), using L-BFGS with Laplacian regularization instead of back-propagation. Sped training time by 100x with nearly same accuracy.

• Lead engineer of software team writing video and acceleration drivers for several generations of graphics boards, a $150 million business. Coded in C and hand-tuned 68k assembly.• Invented new text drawing algorithm that sped text display 4x, Developed tools for VLSI design. (lex/yacc/C) • Wrote font caching driver for graphics boards, replacing text drawing facilities in QuickDraw. • Acted as engineering liason to Apple for OEM product.

Taught high school math for two years via Teach For America. Also taught BASIC programming and AP Computer Science. Worked with IBM on a partnership to provide new computers for the school.
