After some time with a consultancy, I have moved to a product-focused company. I am taking more responsibility and contributing to SaaS retail and loyalty product flyx.cloud. Working with .NET / EF / MSSQL, updating existing and creating new microservices running on Azure. Starting to contribute to React front-end. Reviewing code and suggesting improvements. Investigating and applying technologies previously not used in the company - such as Cosmos DB. As the first member of the team located in Latvia I am working independently and looking to grow our team here.

I worked in a team of 15+ people, helping to develop an application for a large financial institution. The project back-end is a .NET 6 application running on Azure, using Elasticseach and MSSQL. I am keen on using cloud technologies and hold a Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate certification (AZ-204). Before this project, I was working on a small internal project that used AWS Lambda functions and stored data in DynamoDB.

I was invited and worked on-site at the client's offices in New Jersey. I worked along with the client's team to deliver an internal-use application for a large financial institution.

Development of various software tools to enhance the productivity of engineers and create optimal designs. This includes C# .NET programming myself and delegating tasks to other software developers. I was working part time until I graduated a Computer Science masters' course on June 2021.

I was responsible for the structural design of the façade for project Bloom Clerkenwell (London, UK), leading a small team of engineers. This involved regular meetings with client and consultants - presenting our designs and dealing with time/resourcing pressures.I was working part time since September 2019, because I started studying computer science course at University of Latvia.

Over past years with BuroHappold, I have been involved in variety of projects. I have also spend 3 months on secondment in Middle East and 6 months in Battersea Power Station (London) site offices.One of highlights - working on Battersea Power Station Phase 3 development from RIBA stage D to being responsible for part of Structures Stage F delivery. I worked on development part designed by Gehry Partners in Los Angeles. As a "job leader", my responsibilities on this project were:• Managing and leading team of engineers throughout Stage F delivery; responsible for allocation resources and delivering on time.• Leading coordination with MEP and architects;• Attending meetings/workshops with external design team and client representatives, presenting design solutions;• Leading design of all structural elements within superstructure;• Setting up and maintaining strategy for finite element modelling and design of elements;Other highlight - Refurbishment of the “Core” building within Eden Project complex in Cornwall. The aim of the project was to transform classrooms into a new exhibition area called "Invisible Worlds". As a "job leader", my responsibilities on this project were:• Planning resources required for delivering project and preparing fee proposals;• Preparing QMS documents;• H&S management, risk assessments;• Acting as main contact for external parties;• Preparing concept, scheme and detailed design;• Attending design team meetings;• Site support – site visits, responses to RFIs;

In summer 2016 I went on secondment to BuroHappold Engineering Riyadh office. Within this time, I also spent 2 weeks in Dubai office.Detailed design of Museum of The Future entrance canopies:• The canopies are RC shell/arch structures with span up to 43m and cantilever up to 7.0m and support a “green roof”.• Preparation of reinforcement intent, communication with technicians to implement design information into drawings; Working on Al Khorayef tower (16-storeys RC frame) in Dammam as a replacement for resident engineer for 3 weeks:• Only BuroHappold structures team representative on site;• Site inspections, responses to RFIs;• Improving H&S standards on site – regular walkarounds with contractor’s safety officers.• Advocating wellbeing of construction workers – promoting improvement of resting area.

▪ Creating structural schemes and line loads' calculations for housing projects;• Checks of calculations on behalf of Warwick District Council - ensuring compliance with Building Regulations: Part A;▪ Calculations for reconstruction/refurbishment projects - steel, timber, pad foundations, raft foundations. • Testing and implementation of program SMath to improve the efficiency of repetitive structural checks;• Leading work of graduate engineer – he prepared load take-downs on foundations under my supervision.
