Through working at a local Pharmacy, I have acquired the necessary skill of being able to multitask much more comfortably and accurately. My role at the pharmacy was very broad and I was tasked with the following jobs:- Bookkeeping:o Processing invoices, receipts and payments for all branches.o Reviewing company bank statements.- Payroll: o Created electronic staff time sheets to improve efficiency.o Calculated payment for employees who were entitled to maternity and sickness pay.o Resolved holiday pay entitlement queries for employees who worked continual overtime and then amended contracts for 5 full-time members of staff (and then updated all existing employees’ contracts) to avoid the same problems potentially arising in the future.As I began to take on a fulltime roll, I believed I could offer help in more areas, so I branched out and took on the following tasks:- Assisted with application for relocation of branch to common lane.- Implementing buying system for all drugs purchased by pharmacy (ongoing).- Laying foundations for new income stream – IV infusion drips.o Liaising with senor employees at vindoc to get the operation started.o Ensuring processes kept pharmacist liability to a minimal.o Setting up wholesale license as we’d be the intermediate between another pharmacy and vindoc (aesthetics company).o Presented a cost-analysis on the costs associated with running the business on daily basis (fixed and variable) to evaluate the pros and cons of embarking on the venture – extensive use of excel involved.- Restructuring the dispensary to run as efficiently as possible due to the added workload.- Implemented internal network in all branches (the Microsoft application SharePoint was heavily used) in which one of the many benefits was to enable staff to collaborate on work.- Key performance indicators have been introduced to keep all branches in line with company objectives, with associated bonus schemes being a key incentive.

I have worked on the coaching staff for a local well-known Football Development Scheme, aimed at 5-13-year-old children, over the past 6 years. My communication and people skills have markedly improved since I became a Football Coach and subsequently, meeting and interacting with people of all ages has become very easy and enjoyable - this has led to relationship building with both the children and their parents. I have developed many other skills and gained valuable experience from my time there so far, particularly regarding organising, developing, motivating and mentoring individuals over a wide range of ages, maturities and abilities. This shows that I would not only be comfortable working as part of a team but also have the necessary qualities to lead a team. My time-management and Problem-solving skills have also improved as a result of my coaching.

I worked in the Finance Department at Newham College for 1 month where I fulfilled various roles. During this time, I gained a lot of experience and was tasked with working in the following areas:• Credit Control• Capitalising Assets• Purchase Ledgers• Bank and Control Account ReconciliationMy work as a football coach helped me settle into this role smoothly as I was already very comfortable working as part of a team and communicating with people of various ages for example, when I was asked to complete various different tasks I had to be able to effectively communicate my results to colleagues so that they could efficiently build on my work. I was originally only scheduled to be working at the college for 2 weeks however the Director of Finance, Pieter, offered me the chance to work for another 2 weeks as they were impressed with my work ethic, my prompt nature and how quickly I was picking up the tasks being dealt to me. I believe I have an analytical approach to work that allows me to be independent and reliable when dealt with an assignment. At the end of my month working there I was also offered an Apprenticeship whereby I would gain an ACCA Level 7 accounting qualification however at the time I didn’t see that as the best route for me to achieve my goals.
