I am an 18 year old audio engineer from a tiny village in the middle of nowhere in Buckinghamshire. I was lucky to have the opportunity to start to learn music from a very young age and have been classically trained in the flute since I was 6 years old and the piano since I was 14. In the last three years, I have also taught myself the electric bass and electric guitar. I've been sound, music and the arts for the majority of my life as my mother worked in the arts and has always shared her love of theatre, film and music with me which led to me taking an historic interest in how sound is created and used in these different mediums.It was this initial interest that has evolved into a deep commitment to and passion for sound technology. In 2017, aged 12, I took the opportunities afforded to me by a local music venue, The Drawing Room, and began working there. I was initially asked to support and assist other engineers, acting as a roadie/stage hand and discovered that I absolutely loved this new world. Then in 2021, I was asked to step up to work as the lead sound engineer. This hands-on experience of stage setup, mixing and artist relations hugely increased my technical ability alongside my studies in Sound Technology A-Level.At The Drawing Room I was in the unique and exciting position to work with both up and coming singer/songwriters, such as Ruby Leigh (worked with her since she was 12. She successfully took part in The Voice Kids and auditioned for The Brit School, which she is now attending), and Chloe Lorentzen (worked with her on multiple occasions during her UK tours when she was 17-18), as well as with established bands/artists such as: Jack Garret (415,000 on Spotify), GeeJay (159,000 on Spotify), Willie J Healey (115,000 on Spotify and supported Florence and the Machine’s 2022/23 UK tour) Night Flight (41,000 on Spotify), and Billy Wattman (22,000 on Spotify).
