My name is Luna (they/them), I obtained a degree from Syracuse University in Environmental Engineering, with a minor in Environment and Society. I am seeking a position that merges my passions for people, the planet, and science to promote sustainable futures for all life. My interests are in resilience to climate change, sustainability education/advocacy, and environmental management efforts that center environmental justice. I have had multiple experiences that enhanced my ability to communicate effectively with various age groups and demographics of people. This includes working reception at an academic center, being the sole after-school counselor for 20 sixth graders, and presenting several research projects to a crowd. My research experience at SU's CIE Lab allowed me to become familiar with multiple water sample analysis methods and machines that measure sample parameters. At SU's Sustainability Management Office, I was able to gain insight on campus engagement with sustainability efforts, as well as pursue research on zero-emission electric fleets for campus maintenance. I enjoy community engagement, the outdoors, and celebrating diversity in all aspects. I look forward to being an innovative and thoughtful professional as I embark upon my career.
