Managed the quality assurance and sanitation departments and through research of recommended new and emerging standards/ best practices, developed, and implemented tailored standard operating procedures, HACCP documentation, GMPs for each of the 5 business units.Initiated, planned and successfully executed the Restaurant Brand International supplier certification hybrid project. Collaborated with varying functional managers to create, review, communicate and execute long and short term strategic goals for the company then functional areas.Oversee construction of bakery and expansion to meat processing plant to ensure that installations met both local and international regulatory requirements and that contractors were adhering to safety protocols.Developed and maintained the company’s first quality management system inclusive of a complete and robust QA and occupational safety and health programs that were instrumental in the various business units achieving eight (8) regulatory certifications on first inspections in the first 6 months of employment, 7 local and 1 international. All local numerical graded inspection scores being the company’s highest and the international score, the 2nd highest ever achieved.Utilized gap analysis to identify employee training needs, designed training materials to include assessments and conducted employee training in several areas including OHS, Food Safety, GMPs, HACCP, Chemical Handling, Warehousing Basics, Forklift Operation & Safety Procedures.Developed preventative and corrective action documentations, completed requisite forms for breaches noted at inspections/audits, developed SMART action plans with departmental managers and worked collaboratively through follow-ups to close out corrective/preventative actions.Identified regulatory needs for the respective production units, made required applications and collaborated with cross functional teams to ensure readiness through training and internal audits.
