• Engage with stakeholders to understand concerns and elicit requirements• Partner with business stakeholders (SMEs) to assist in investigating and solving problems areas• Analyse requirements and identify root cause / source of the problem• Facilitate workshop with stakeholders to clarify requirements • Construct possible insights and solutions aligned to best available system to resolve problem while applying finance principles and governance i.e. segmentations rules• Present different suggestions to business for more informed decision making• Formalise and document the requirements and solutions and create a course of action or build a proof of concept where appropriate• Breakdown work into smaller tasks and assign deadlines• Facilitate regular touch base sessions with stakeholders until resolution (provide feedback in most appropriate way)• Manage scope creep• Identify avenues to enrich existing data• Provide the minimum insights to business as is required• Check with business partner on a daily basis to ensure requirements are being met and manage their expectations• Plan and prioritise daily tasks and allocate time according to deadlines• Interact with the Developer and Business Analysts to ensure delivery according to deadlines, targets and expectations • Gain input from relevant stakeholders (Finance or Product stakeholders) in order to obtain clarity or detail, inform the team• Update PPO system with tasks

•Analyse and report back to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on Transfer Pricing (TP) charges •Investigate, report back on and provide explanations for variances when compared to financial plans•Prepare and analyse transfer pricing charges •Perform analytical assessment of cost makeup and trends •Perform analytical assessment of TP to ensure accuracy of rates charged•Understand volume projections and obtain guidance on growth rates for budgets based on related capacity•Plan and manage the budgeting process with regards to TP•Input TP numbers received or expected onto the Planning Management System•Review TP numbers submitted by other business units•Resolve TP issues that might arise •Obtain confirmation with regards to seats and boardroom charges •Provide input with regards to the asset register and other volumes •Ensure volumes of transactions charged are reasonable based on actual business performance•Adhere to Group Costing guidelines and TP rules •Calculate the TP unit rates based on time studies and volumes of transactions for productions •Engage with the relevant management teams to negotiate and agree on the rates for co-location •Ensure accuracy of volumes used in rate calculations and of data in TP Models•Load rates onto system•Understand key business drivers •Provide opinion and challenge TP models where business drivers are inappropriate •Understand how costs are calculated and how one can influence TP costs•Identify areas for TP cost saving •Review existing Finance SLAs and make recommendations to changes•Submit TP report with variance analysis vs budget and forecast explanations•Obtain user friendly information (in terms of the above)•Monitor key trends and anomalies in the TP report and make recommendations

Use of tools such as SAS,SQL,Oracle,Abinito. Duties Include:• Work on the Absa Treasury Enablement Project as a Data Analyst • Identify and prepare data sources for QRM(Quality Risk Management) System• Identify Business Rules across data sources for Retail, Absa Business Banking, Absa Capital.• Engage with data owners for the transfer of data.• Performing Data analysis and Data Profiling to identify Data Quality Issues(mostly through use of SQL Server)• Develop Business Rules and QRM Pre-Processing Rules using Abinitio Business Rule Engine• Extraction of logic and rules from the system code, understanding rules and mapping the rules and data to a new data model (interaction with Business as and when required)• Performing Regression testing and explaining variances (through analysis of the system SQL code)• Upload the extracted, transformed and cleansed financial data into QRM• Integration analysis Specifying attributes required from source Specifying data types of attributes  Specifying filtering, mapping and transformation rules to be applied to source data Specifying file requirements (e.g. frequency, file format, delivery time etc)• Specification of Processing rules per system, this includes: Specifying data mappings Specifying filtering rules to be applied to data Specifying transformation to be applied to data to comply to the required target format• Reconcile and Balance uploaded data to ABSA Balance Sheet • Communicating all requirements clearly and with the required level of detail to the Technical Team making suggestions for improvements where areas are identified• Develop a clear understanding of financial terms used across the Absa Group.• Assisting Project Manager in the identification of Project Risks• Interacting with Business to obtain requirements• Interacting with Business to communicate status of the analysis
