I took overall responsibility of the project, leading it from the sales handover all the way to close out meeting and afterwards providing aftercare support to clients.Besides being the interface between the client and EFC I worked closely with all the different departments (sales, design office and workshop) to achieve good quality work.I gave guidance for the junior project engineers assigned with projects similar to those I had completed previously.Sales department relied on the bills of materials from the projects I carried out, knowing they were up to date and therefore a good basis for quoting for repeat orders.I was also the first aider.Key projects delivered:- A tank gauging system c/w hull draft measurement and 2-axis inclination metering.- An air pressure vessel surface temperature monitoring system for an active heave compensator system

I interfaced with the sales office to design A60 rated offshore containers to meet client’s requirementsEnsured compliance to all applicable design standards (DNV 2.7-1 BS EN 12079 [structural] and DNV 2.7-2 and/or NORSOK).As a project engineer I was responsible of on time and on budget delivery and ultimately client satisfaction. I was the first point of contact for the client and an interface between all different disciplines and third party companies.I was the first aider.

In keeping within budget costs and man hours my main responsibilities were to take care of procurement and specification of equipment installed into a module. Each module was a bespoke unit so electrical equipment and HVAC systems had to be specified as per customer requirements each time.My role as a support engineer was quite a diverse one and widened my skills to new directions. I did weight estimates utilising structural drawings and steel books etc. I also spent a lot of time putting together document packages for customers so I am familiar with data sheets and certificates.More technical responsibilities involved doing cable calculations, specifying correct cable and glands based on industry standards.HVAC systems were an important part of modular design as well the fire and gas systems. I produced cause and effect matrices and took part in Factory Acceptance Test.Most our products went to various Oil and Gas operators so they were suitable for a hazardous environment. I am experienced in Ex and I.S. rated equipment and understand the challenges involved in making a product suitable for Zone 1 or 2.I was also the first aider.

In this role I acquired experience in creating cost reports, timing plans and work packs. My role included responding to customers’ requests for quotations and taking charge of the project from there on. This involved creating a cost estimate and a project timing plan as well as procurement of parts.My main project was an operator’s cabin exchange from two of the cranes on an offshore oil platform. It was my responsibility to create cable calculations and electrical equipment list and to liaise with mechanical engineers as well as technicians offshore.I also got some experience in HVAC systems during this project.The cabins were in a ZONE II hazardous area so hazardous area rating for electrical equipment had to be taken into consideration.

In collaboration with designers, technicians and document control department, my main responsibility was to upgrade control systems and electrical equipment as per customer request.This role involved creating quotes, doing the procurement all the way to the financial close outs. I was initially employed as an electrical draftsman
